Physical DescriptionOriginal cartoon drawing. A crowd of women march and hold signs (“Stop the War” “Get Out of Vietnam” “Bring the Boys Home Hurry” “Get Out of Vietnam” “We Pro[] Vietnam” “Give Us Peace” “We Protest Mr. President” “Stop the War!”). LBJ joins the march dressed as a woman and carries a sign ("We're for Lyndon B. Johnson"). A dog (“LBJ”) walks nearby and a mouse carries a sign (“We Protest”). Caption: “Senator Rankin's March”. Historical NoteThe Antiwar Movement (1964-1973) emerged in response to the Vietnam War and included many activist groups such as the Students for a Democratic Society and the Yippies and used tactics such as mass demonstrations, sit-ins, teach-ins, and guerilla theater.
