Historical NoteThe title of this cartoon indicates what many may have believed; that LBJ was fighting two wars – the war in Vietnam and the war at home. While troops were fighting and dying in Vietnam to ensure freedom, some young men back home were expressing their freedom by burning their draft cards in protest of the war. LBJ faced strong opinions on both sides.Additional Details
