Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionPre-Columbian pottery funerary urn with a three-dimensional jaguar effigy. The glaze is gray with a wide border of abstracted figures and geometrical designs in brown and orange around the neck of the urn, and a second band of decoration around the jaguar's forelegs.

Custodial History NoteThis item was a gift from a foreign official to First Lady Lady Bird Johnson during the Johnson Administration. It was received through the Executive Office of the President and maintained there until its transfer to the National Archives on January 1969 for deposit with the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.
