Physical DescriptionBolo tie with Texas-shaped slide of silver-edged red agate. Finely braided leather tie with silver tips.
Historical NotePresident Johnson was vocally proud of his Texas heritage. Many of the gifts he received from the American people were Texas-themed, including this bolo tie made of polished red agate and silver.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
