Physical DescriptionSleeveless sheath evening gown with waist darts and jewel neck in iridescent blue-green silk with small brocaded floral motifs scattered throughout. Draped stole attached with pleats at proper left shoulder. Gold brocade bands with floral motif in green, orange, purple on sides and hems. Nieman Marcus label.
Historical NoteThis sari-inspired gown was worn by Lady Bird Johnson for an informal dinner at the White House on July 12, 1967. The Neiman-Marcus label implies the dress was made for her through the Dallas-based company.
