Historical NoteThis cartoon is based on a photograph of the 1932 Supreme Court, which included Benjamin N. Cardozo, Willis Van Deventer, James Clark McReynolds, Louis Brandeis, George Sutherland, Pierce Butler, Owen Roberts, Harlan F. Stone, and Chief Justice Charles Evans Hughes.
