Physical DescriptionPrint reproduction of cartoon drawing. LBJ wears western clothes and draws his gun. A small piece of paper “Wilmington Evening Journal” adhered to lower right. Caption: “Alright you editorial cartoonists, draw! Annual AAEC Meeting LBJ Ranch 5-29-71”. Artist signature lower right: “Jack Jurden”.
Historical NoteLyndon Johnson liked political cartoons of himself and invited political cartoonists and other press correspondents to his ranch for barbecues in 1964.

Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson, until the President donated it to the Lyndon B Johnson Presidential Library in 1973.
