Etta Hulme was an American editorial cartoonist recognized for her political topics and understated artstyle. After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin, Hulme would work as an animator for Walt Disney Studios from 1944 to 1946. She was employed as an illustrator for the Red Rabbit comic series in 1951 and performed freelance work for the Texas Observer in the 1950s. Hulme began working full-time as an editorial cartoonist for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram in 1972 and continued until her retirement in 2008.
