Lady Bird Johnson

American, 1912 - 2007
Claudia Johnson, more commonly known as Lady Bird Johnson, married Lyndon B. Johnson in 1934. She served as the second lady during her husband's vice-presidency under John F. Kennedy, and became the First Lady when he succeeded to the presidency in 1963. During the Johnson administration, Lady Bird advocated for environmental and social welfare programs.
