Sherman Adams

American, 1899 - 1986
U.S. Representative (1945-1947)
Governor of New Hampshire (1949-1953)
White House Chief of Staff (1953-1958)

Sherman Adams was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from 1945 and 1947 and served as New Hampshire's governor from 1949–1953. Afterward, he was appointed as White House Chief of Staff in 1953 under the Eisenhower administration.
