Executive Vice-President of U.S. Steel Corporation and Chief negotiator for the steel industry (1959-1968)

R. Conrad Cooper was a field engineer and industry labor negotiator. Cooper worked for the U.S. Steel Corporation from 1945 until 1968, serving as the executive vice president for personnel services from 1958. He was the chief negotiator for the steel industry from 1959 to 1968 and led negotiations for the steel industry in the 1960 steel strike.
