Minister of Foreign Affairs (1957-1985)

He was a Soviet politician and diplomat during the Cold War and served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 1957-1985. He was directly involved with Americans during negotiations during the Cuban missile crisis. He played a central role in negotiations of the Partial Nuclear Test Ban Treaty and ABM Treaty as the U.S. and Soviet Union embarked on détente.
