Benjamin Franklin
United States, 1706 - 1790
A founding father of the United States, Franklin signed all three documents that freed America from Britain. He served as the first U.S. ambassador to France and fulfilled many roles other than politician and diplomat – inventor, businessman, scientist, printer, publisher, author and philanthropist.
