Edward H. White II

United States, 1930 - 1967
White was an aeronautical engineer, Air Force test pilot, and NASA astronaut. He was a member of the crews of Gemini 4 and Apollo 1. He was the first American to walk in space. He died in a flash fire in a launch pad test at Cape Canaveral, Florida in 1967.
