Faisal, King of Saudi Arabia

Saudi, 1906 - 1975
Faisal was a statesman and diplomat who was king of Saudi Arabia from 1964 until his assassination in 1975. He favored modernization and reform. He tried to limit the power of Islamic religious officials. He led the oil embargo that caused the 1973 oil crisis in response to support Israel received from the West.
