William "Bill" Crawford worked as a cartoonist for the Washington Daily News and the Washington Post (1936-1938), an editorial cartoonist for the Newark News (1938-1962), and as a chief editorial cartoonist for the Newspaper Enterprise Association (1962-1977). Throughout his career, Crawford's cartoons have been featured in over 700 newspapers and published in 23 books.
