Mohamed Ibrahim Egal was a Somali politician who served as the first prime minister of the Somali Republic for 11 days in 1960 and again from 1967-69. He was also president of Somaliland from 1993 until his death in 2022. He also served in other governmental posts including as defense minister, education minister, and ambassador to India.
