Nguyen Cao Ky

Vietnamese, 1930 - 2011
Nguyãen Cao Ky was born on September 8, 1930 in Son Tay, Vietnam. His received military training by the French, and returned to Vietnam in 1954 to hold a series of commands in the South Vietnamese air force. He was involved in the overthrow of President Diem, and was later appointed to the air force command. He served as the premier of the former Republic of South Vietnam, 1965 to 1967, and Vice President of the Republic of South Vietnam, 1967 to 1971. He settled in the United States in 1975.
