Hank Barrow began his career as a cartoonist for the Times Picayune in New Orleans before being employed by the Associated Press from 1934 until 1949. After 15 years at the Associated Press in New York, Barrow joined the World-Herald in 1949, where he created over 6,000 cartoons until his retirement in 1971.
