Lynda Johnson Robb is the eldest daughter of former President Lyndon B. Johnson and Lady Bird Johnson. In 1979, President Jimmy Carter appointed Robb to chair the President's Advisory Committee on Women. In addition to this, Robb has also served as a chairwoman on the Virginia's Women Cultural History Project (1982-1985), the National Commission to Prevent Infant Mortality (1989-1996), and the Board of Reading is Fundamental (1966-2001).
