Walt Scott

American, 1894 - 1970
1894-1970. Walt Scott was the artist of among others the Sunday comic ’The Little People’. These little characters first appeared in one of Scott’s many Christmas stories in 1950. Later on, Scott also featured his characters in comic books, published in Dell’s Four Color Comics. During the 1940s and 1950s, Scott drew the Sunday pages of ’Captain Easy’ as an assistant to Les Turner. In the 1950s he also produced the newspaper comics ’The Magic Egg’, ’The Little Blue Duck’ and ’The Animals’ Christmas’. He drew ’The Little People’ until his death in 1970
