Historical NoteFollowing the assassination of John F. Kennedy, Lyndon Johnson was sworn in as president on November 22, 1963 while on an airplane. As president, Johnson announced his plans to continue and expand Kennedy’s policies. In this cartoon, world leaders look at Johnson under a microscope to see what his first moves will be.
