Physical DescriptionPhysical DescriptionMy Famous Americans Album for United States Savings Stamps. A tri-folded sheet for collecting U.S. savings stamps. Cream-colored paper with green printing featuring famous American people. Two blue/red 25c "United States Savings Stamps" adhered to the sheet.
Historical NoteSince 1910 the US government has made available savings bonds for purchase, first through the United States Post Office and later via the US Treasury Dept. The design of this booklet and these stamps were approved in 1961.Additional Details
Custodial History NoteThe item was a gift from the general public to President Johnson during his term in office. It was received by President Johnson personally, until the President donated it to the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 1970.
